Feature Requests

It would be great if Cleft could surface pertinent notes for reflection. - Prompts based on older notes could help me explore ideas further and deeper.

Background: If you use Cleft for both personal and professional notes, it can be weird to mix tones. For example, say I want the minutes of a meeting, then I'd like a formal tone. However, if I'm sending a note to a friend with a recommendation about what mirrorless camera to buy, I'd like it to have a more informal tone. Feature Description: A way to add custom vocabulary and tone for each individual note. Potential Implementation: It could be done either before you start recording (maybe select a couple of tags such as "output in Spanish", "formal", "informal", "shopping list"...). This would be the way to reduce your LLM processing, but it might break the UX. It could be done afterwards, with a text box similar to the one in AI preferences. That will allow you to re-process your note with a new tone.

Connecting notes in a meaningful way would be fantastic. - Personalizing note types (e.g., bullet points, checkboxes, to-do lists) would be helpful. - I prefer predominantly text-based notes with headers and bullet points rather than overly summarized checklists. - The ability to choose between more elaborate or concise notes would be appreciated.

(i.e., the Usual Meeting Time!) Hello - 60min recording time would be a nice option as lots of meetings are scheduled for an hour. Thank you!

Support for multiple speakers would be beneficial for interviews.

Every day I do a voice input on iOS and mention, my (Micah), my wife's (Carrie), or my oldest son's (Jonah) name, it transcribes it incorrectly. My name becomes "Mike a" or "Michael," Carrie becomes "Kerri" or "Carey" or "Cary," and Jonah is always Jonas. These are among the most important people in my life, they're starred VIP contacts, and yet, always wrong when iOS transcription happens. Cleft suffers the same challenge, where the more common spellings/pronounciations for names are what comes back from the transcription. I understand WHY that is the case for Cleft (you don't have my iCloud Family details or my VIP contacts, like iOS does)… but I would LOVE if Cleft would let me tell it some key people/names/objects/etc that I want it to default to when transcribing, rather than going with the completely non-personal transcription. You could think of it like your own personal dictionary or vocabulary. And you'd beat iOS/macOS at their own transcription game at being most personally relevant voice trascriber. :)

I trigger Cleft recording using an iOS shortcut, but there is currently no way to stop the recording without getting my phone out and hitting stop. Any way to stop the recording with your voice during recording would be extremely helpful.

I want to use Cleft as a personal knowledge management system. - The ability to refine, add to, and elaborate on notes would be beneficial. - Highlighting specific aspects of notes to build upon them would enrich the concepts over time.

Currently clicking on a notes text switches to markdown mode making it impossible to copy the rich-text version. This is a problem if I'm copying into a notes app that does not support markdown
