Cleft not picking up USB mic

Hi, I would love to use Cleft with my Mac Studio, but it does not pick up my microphone. My Mic is connected via a dbx 286s Mic Preamp/processor that is connected to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo [3rd Gen] USB Audio interface plugged into the Mac. This provides a solid audio signal which works on multiple other apps (Zoom, Screenflow, Teams etc.) however, Cleft does not detect the audio. Can you suggest a solution?

I’ve got a Scarlett Solo as well in my closet so let me pull that out and test. Can you try cranking the gain up and see if that works? It might be that we aren’t being sensitive enough to that interface. I will test on my end as well.

Justin from Cleft AI Hi Justin, I've tried cranking up the gain until everything is red lining, but it is not working. I had an issue with Teams on the Mac in the early days where Teams ignored the left or right channel (I can't remember which) and I think Focusrite was sending audio down the other channel as a mono sound feed. Might that be the same issue.
I have tried it with my AirPods and it does work with them, but that rather defeats the purpose of having a high quality mic always connected.

SimonWJ yep that could also be it. The 2i2 I have is mono channel per input I know. Will pull it out this weekend and do some debugging
