Feature Requests

Very keen for Android support. As much as I love my Mac computer (interfacing with my CleftNotes on there is great, but recording them there isn't much use to me), and iPad (okay for CleftNotes, but it's not something I carry around like a phone), I'm not a fan of the iPhone. Too expensive, and too locked down for my liking. Android support is my #1 requirement to jump fully onboard with CleftNotes, since I am more than capable of typing, or dictating (via numerous AI and Whisper apps), notes on macOS without CleftNotes. It's the portability (without an iPhone) that I need. Keep up the great work guys. CleftNotes is cool.

The place where it's least safe to be messing with your phone or Apple Watch to record audio has no app to capture thoughts while driving.

Apple Watch to capture those "shower thoughts". I have been carrying around these little 5" Field notebooks shoutout to Cal Newport for the idea of single use notebooks. However this feature essentially replaces the need. I should mention a widget/ app icon on the apple watch to add to compilation for quick access.

Jonny I think a web app would be a great step towards making Cleft Notes available to as many people as possible. Android may take more work because of its fragmentation and abundance of phones with vastly different specs, which is why developing for iOS and MacOS first makes sense. On the other end, part of the reason I suggested the web app is that most people use a Chromium based browser, which get automatically updated regularly. As for the implementation, Notion comes to mind. I haven't seen the MacOS version, but the web and Windows app are very similar in terms of features, and make the transition from one to another seamless. Happy to help with testing if able. Native support for VP would be be super, Cleft is built for it!

Being able to start Cleft from long-pressing my glasses
